The movement that one observes in nature has a certain aesthetic, it has a certain quality of 'flow' and 'life'. Through these kinetic sculptures, an effort has been made to achieve that kind of movement through mechanical means which traditionally have a very different aesthetic of movement.

By arranging repeating elements in a carefully calculated incremental manner, the pieces are able to achieve a smoothness in movement that is reminiscent of movement in nature.
